How the checker works
It looks for the signs scammers rely on: pressure to act fast, requests for codes or passwords, payment by gift card or wire, links that copy a real company, and stories about prizes or family in trouble. Then it tells you what to do next.
It never tells you a message is safe. The most it says is that it cannot confirm a message is real, and how to check with the company yourself, using a number you already trust.
