Your parents text one number in their own words. No download, no password, no small buttons. Uncle is patient, never makes anyone feel slow, and explains things plainly.
What they can send him
- A text that says their bank account is locked, or a package is waiting
- A photo of a letter from the insurance company, the county, or a hospital
- A photo of a bill they do not understand
- "Help me write a thank you note to the neighbors"
- "What is a deductible?"
Why it is safer than a search engine
Older adults are targeted by scammers who sound official and create panic. Uncle never asks for passwords, card numbers, or codes, never tells anyone to send money, and never texts first. So the rule for your parents is simple: if someone asks for those things, it is not Uncle, and it is a warning sign.
Set it up in one minute
- Save +1 208 214 0093 in their phone as "Uncle".
- Send the first text together, so they see how it works.
- Show them how to forward a text: press and hold the message, then tap Forward (or More and the arrow on an iPhone).
Each person texts from their own phone. Uncle keeps each conversation private to that number.
